Absorb the beautiful scenery as you make your way around the gardens on a steam train. Set in a peaceful riverside location, the gardens boast magical surrounding woodlands and nature spots.
Your children will also have the opportunity to entertain themselves in the play area and dragonfly pond.
Throughout the year, the Exbury Gardens team hosts a wide range of seasonal activities, from a magical Easter trail to summer music festivals. Take a look at the website to find out more.
Half-Term Activities: Eling Tide Mill Experience
Explore Eling Tide Mill for an educational and inspirational family experience.
Using the power of the tide to churn wheat, Eling Tide Mill operates both as a working mill and a museum. Having initially ceased operation in the 1940s, the mill reopened between 1975 and 1980 - before being restored and refurbished in 2018.
During your visit, you’ll also have the chance to embark on a two-mile long walk through the peaceful surrounding countryside. The Mill sells its freshly made flour on-site, too, which you can purchase at the gift shop.
As one of the only fully operational tide mills in the UK, it’s an experience not to be missed during your visit to the New Forest!
Discover Furzey Gardens
At Furzey Gardens, you and your family can enjoy picturesque scenery and plenty of games to keep the children entertained.
During your visit, send your children on a hunt for magical fairies. In true detective spirit, they’ll be invited to follow the trail and find a series of fairy doors hidden around the garden.
Don’t forget to visit the play area with your little ones - from climbing structures and trees to a ‘sailing’ boat, your children can immerse themselves in imaginative play.
To celebrate its centenary, Furzey Gardens is also hosting a series of exclusive events, including a garden festival on 14th and 15th May.
To book your spot, just visit the website.
