The Hotel Cateys Awards recognise and reward individuals and teams that work to ensure their business delivers an exceptional guest experience.

Guests will book a stay in a hotel for a number of reasons initially, but it’s the service and experience that usually determine if they’ll return.

At Balmer Lawn Hotel and Spa, our teams work tirelessly to create a memorable experience for each of our guests; and, Pauline is behind the scenes ensuring that the operations run smoothly, enhancing experiences, and driving revenue.

Hospitality Award | Revenue Manager of the Year

The Revenue Manager of the Year category celebrates individuals who have met or exceeded their performance targets in revenue sales, and that work to strengthen relationships with other departments.

Pauline, who’s been a prominent member of the Balmer Lawn Hotel team for two and a half years, has shown dedication, innovation and leadership throughout her role as revenue manager.

Over the past year, the hospitality industry has faced challenging circumstances. Pauline has worked hard to address and overcome these and her leadership and approach to revenue generation has been a driving force for our continued success.

Growth of Balmer Lawn Hotel | Hospitality Award Finalists

In the last 15 months, under Pauline’s management, our hotel has achieved a significant increase in room bookings and associated revenue.

Prior to managing Balmer Lawn Hotel, Pauline co-owned a 10-bed hotel in the Cotswolds. This experience has provided Pauline with a unique perspective and understanding of the industry, which has been proven invaluable in her current position.

By controlling revenue and pricing, Pauline contributes towards guest satisfaction and higher customer loyalty through promotions and strategic management.

Once shortlisted for this incredible hospitality award, Pauline said: “The past 2.5 years have been a very rewarding journey and I'm really proud of the growth we've achieved.

National Hospitality Award Finalists

The Hotel Cateys Award ceremony will take place on Monday 13th November 2023 at Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge.

Here they will celebrate the industries finest achievements and recognise those who have excelled in their roles.

Winners of each category will be announced by the judges, who decide who best represents British hospitality excellence.

Finalists are chosen through a rigorous selection process over the course of four days.

This is led by over 100 judges, consisting of individuals renowned for their expertise, industry acumen and previous Catey award winners.
